The aim for this project is to create an effective informative piece of design work that will enhance and simplify

the visitor’s experience at the Gayer Anderson Museum.

The infographic features an illustrated version of the house of Gayer Anderson being front and center,

surrounded by a road that briefly sums up the history of the museum throughout the years. The poster

also features the Ibn Tulun Mosque, a relevant historical place that tourists usually visit with the museum.

When creating the navigation map, the best way to display the house was to clearly show each floor individually,

highlight where they can find the stairs and label each room clearly. This way, the visitor will be able to identify

and pinpoint where they are exactly, as well as prioritize the rooms they would like to see if their visit is short.

CONCEPT DESIGN + USER EXPERIENCE

GAYER ANDERSON MUSEUM

With the rich history of the house, having a system that provides relevant information to visitors about the

objects in a museum. The plan is to have this system available online where the visitor can easily access via

QR code next to each artifact so everyone can read about the piece from the comfort of their phone screen

instead of clamoring in front of a tiny label. Each system has the floor number and the symbol of the room

to make navigation easier.
